Tomorrow add a little lit to your weekend and celebrate National Bookstore Day by buying a book at a real-life bookstore. At a time when it’s harder than ever for brick-and-mortar booksellers to compete with the big guys (not that we don’t love them, too), Publishers Weekly has declared November 6 the first-ever National Bookstore Day, and more than 140 bookstores around the country are joining in the fun with author signings and special events, plus promos, discounts raffles and more.
