Meet Museyon: Behind the Scenes

museyon-guides-logoMuseyon wouldn’t be possible without the extraordinary contributions of some equally extraordinary people. Let’s say hello, shall we?

The brains of the operation is Anne Ishii, our amazing editor-in-chief. Always in demand, you can also find Anne at Imprint Culture Lab and Giant Robot Magazine. Still not enough Anne? Read about her adventures on her hilarious blog, Ill Iterate.

Hats off to Alene Jackson, the lady behind our look. Not only our totally rad art director, Arlene is the Principal at goldrush design where she creates eye-catching designs for super-cool clients like Diesel and New York’s New Museum of Contemporary Art.

Each Museyon Guide is full of beautiful color photos, thanks to the hard work of Museyon’s photo editor extraordinaire, Michael Kuhle. An accomplished photographer and lomography buff, Michael’s work has appeared all over the place — including big-name magazines like Spin and GQ. Want to see more? You can visit him online at Michael Kuhle Photogaraphy or stop by epaulet, his Brooklyn boutique.

Sure, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but we’re especially proud of ours. Each Museyon Guide features a cover illustration by Jillian Tamaki. We’re not the only people to love her signature style. Jillian recently won the  Ignatz Award for Skim, the graphic novel she co-wrote with her cousin Mariko Tamaki.
