News: Happy Earth Day!

Today is Earth Day and to celebrate and bring awareness to vital environmental issues, there are celebrations, rallies and meetings happening all over the world from the Philippines to Rome.
 
The Earth Day site has a great list of events happening in every corner of the world. For those in America, the big Earth Day Climate rally on the National Mall in Washington D.C. is Sunday the 25th with Jesse Jackson and James Cameron set to speak amongst others. Performing this year are Sting, John Legend, The Roots, Jimmy Cliff, Passion Pit, Bob Weir, Willie Colon, Joss Stone, Robert Randolph, Patrick Stump, Mavis Staples, Booker T, Honor Society and Tao Rodriguez-Seeger. RSVP on Earth Day’s official page. Not in D.C.? No worries, the Earth Day network have sponsored free shuttle buses to The Mall for those in New York City, Philadephia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, Charleston WV, Richmond, Charlottesville, and Baltimore.
