True Grit – A tough U.S. Marshal helps a stubborn young woman track down her father’s murderer in this wonderful (ed. note, I saw it and it was) new film by the Coen Brothers which is a departure from their either violent or more adult fare.
Somewhere – This new film from director Sophia Coppola won the Golden Lion Award for Best Picture at the 2010 Venice International Film Festival and is an empathetic look into the orbit of actor Johnny Marco (played by Stephen Dorff).
