Some people seek out art when they travel, others go on the hunt for great local music while others are looking for something a little less common- great design. With so many great new design blogs and tv shows, it’s no wonder the decorating trend is spreading and that design shops and amazing interiors are becoming Meccas for travelers. Considering the unstable economy, the design trend makes sense. As more and more people are taking local holidays or “staycations,” making your home a peaceful and beautiful place to be is a top priority. But even as the economy gets better, the popularity of such programs, Sundance’s Man Shops Globe, Bravo’s Top Design and the new 9 By Design, show no signs of decreasing viewers and thank goodness, because we’re pretty obsessed ourselves!
Over the next few months, Museyon will be exploring where to see and shop for great design in cities around the world through the eyes of its city’s designers. Is there a city you’d like to see or a designer you want interviewed? Leave a comment or tweet @museyon and let us know!
