Spotlight On…10 Corso Como, Milan

10 Corso Como
A clothing store, an art gallery, a cafe and most recently, a three room hotel, 10 Corso Como is synonymous with cutting edge art and fashion in Milan. In an era that has seen the importance of Milanese fashion severely downgraded, 10 Corso Como is keeping the flame alive and roaring.

Founded by gallerist Carla Sozzani, sister of Franca Sozzani, editor of Vogue Italia, in a traditional, sprawling palazzo as a “lifestyle emporium” in 1991, 10 Corso Como has become mecca for the young fashion elite of Milan. The complex is an ever-expanding project for Sozzani who over the years has added a book and record shop as well as a traditional bazaar filled with objects d’art and small curiosities.

Even for travellers on a tight budget can enjoy 10CC’s atmosphere by hunkering down the cafe to people watch or sipping cocktails until 2am at the bar. But remember, if you want to stay the night in one of the three concept hotel rooms, bookings fill-up months in advance.
