Celebrations:
The two words on everyone’s lips this weekend are Mad Men. The show will even be screening, in its entirety an hour early, on the big screen in Times Square! Check out our guide to Mad Men shopping, art, architecture and food in NYC.

Film Openings:
Life During Wartime – A new film by Todd Soldonz as a sequel, of sorts, to the controversial film Happiness is getting rave reviews and will be gracing indie cinemas this Friday.

Out as well in limited release is Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child – Directed by Tamra Davis, the documentary features never-before seen footage of the prolific artist painting, talking about his art, and existing in the two years prior to his death in 1988.

Reads:
This week saw the biggest comic book release of the year, Scott Pilgrim Volume 6: Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour, the final book in the series. The film version starring Michael Cera will be released next month.

Music:
The music world and Twitter timeline is abuzz with the leak of Arcade Fire’s new album ‘The Suburbs,’ which will be released August 3rd. Rolling Stone already gave the album 4 stars and so far, there is not an unkind word to be said about the third album from this indie band royalty.
