Saturday, Chronicles of Old New York author James Roman braved the 96 degree heat to lead a group of intrepid history fans through Greenwich Village, SoHo and NoLita; beginning at Washington Square Park’s Hangman’s Elm and ending at independent bookstore McNally Jackson on Prince Street.
