The Connecticut home of producer Peter Katis hides a secret. Inside this picturesque New England home doesn’t just reside a family, but also Tarquin Studios, where Katis has recorded some of the hugest indie hits from bands like The National, Interpol, The Swell Season, Jonsi (of Sigur Ros), Frightened Rabbit and Mates of State.
When Katis is not producing albums for other groups, he is working on his own music with the band The Philistines Jr. whose latest album is called If A Band Plays in the Woods…?– this is the first album from the band in nine years. Katis takes us on a tour of Tarquin Studios in a video set to a song entitled “The Bus Stop Song” off his new album.
