The Every War, The Every Eden: Thailand + Cambodia

Thailand and Cambodia have complex histories, shaped, in part, by the countries that surround them, and on film Thailand has often stood in for its war-ravaged neighbors. Follow Museyon Guide Jose Lustre, Jr., to find out which city played both Saigon and Phnom Penh and visit the region’s more idyllic attractions, including Cambodia’s famous temples, stars of In the Mood for Love and Laura Croft: Tomb Raider.

About Your Guide: Jose Lustre, Jr. saw Apocalypse Now as a 14-year-old and immediately planned a visit to Saigon. He made good on his promise and has since outrun a rock avalanche in the Himalayas, been hit by a truck in Indonesia and people-watched in downtown Ramallah. He recovers in Lose Angeles, where he is a writer and IT manager. He holds a degree in Print Journalism and Film Production from the University of Southern California.
