Close to Sacré-Cœur, located in the Montmartre district, Élysée Montmartre is one of the most famous music venues in all of Paris and over its 203 year history, the venue has hosted everyone from David Bowie to Katy Perry. Its numerous specialty music nights are well-respected in Paris, making this a must see and do for music fans.

The date the original building was constructed is up for question (is it 1889 or 1807?) but what is agreed is that in 1900, the building was badly damaged by fire. The concert hall was but rebuilt to seat a capacity of 1,200 and the new incarnation still contains original architectural pieces that today are historic monuments, such as the columns, roof and mezzanine, all designed by Gustave Eiffel of Eiffel Tower fame.
