Now in it’s 11th year, The Edinburgh Corn Exchange is one of the best places in Edinburgh to see live touring acts with a medium to large audience. Situated away from the city center of the Royal Mile and Prince’s Street in the suburb of Chesser, the Exchange functions not only as a state of the art concert venue, but also as venue for community events such as a Saturday “carboot” sale and numerous fairs. The main event for the year though is The Edge Festival in August, which coincides with the annual Edinburgh Festival.
The building itself is a category B listed building, originally erected in 1909 as, you guessed it, a corn exchange.
