News: “Central Perk” Opens in Beijing

If you build it, they will come. And by “they”, we mean Warner Brothers of course. Earlier this year, local Beijing resident Du Xin made into reality a dream he’s held onto for years, to one day open an exact replica of Central Perk, the famed coffee shop from Friends. Beijing’s “Gunther” has built the cafe nearly brick by brick and now Warner Bros wants to speak with him. The proud new owner has already stopped showing episodes of Friends in the cafe though and is confident that all be well.
 
Originally off to a slow start, Central Perk, located in Beijing’s Central Business District, is now booming with visitors and patrons and will soon be hosting a Phoebe Night. They also have on staff an ever changing “Rachel” to incompetently serve guests.
