Biography
Alina Simone is a singer and writer based in Brooklyn. Her latest album, Everyone Is Crying Out To Me, Beware, covered the music of Soviet punk poet Yanka Dyagileva and garnered praise from the BBC, The New Yorker, NPR and SPIN magazine, among others. She is currently working on a collection of essays about Russia, family, and the tragic-comic struggle to make it in indie rock to be published by Faber in 2010.
