The Manhattan Project: New York City, USA

new-york

New York has inspired, awed and even disgusted many an artist. With it’s distinct neighborhoods, colorful history and ever-changing face, the city has had a long love affair with the camera. Nisha Gopalan traces the city’s cinematic cameos from Manhattan’s bohemian downtown haunts from Desperately Seeking Susan, through Taxi Driver’s Times Square and to the glitzy uptown world Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

About Your Guide: Nisha Gopalan has been living in New York City since 1996. She’s been a writer at the late Premiere magazine, and more recently an editor at Entertainment Weekly.
