‘G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra’ hit theaters today, and while we’ve been worried about the film’s evasive screening policy towards critics, the folks at Popular Mechanics are much more worried about safety. That’s right, the brainy boys and girls of the magazine have put together a list of five of the most “extremely dumb” military designs to come out of the G.I. Joe franchise — from a wimpy helicopter to an underground excavator called the Mole Pod.

Oh and about that question we asked earlier this week — why aren’t they screening the movie? Then answer, from Newsweek: “The new action movie isn’t as bad as you think. It’s much, much worse.”
